The festival exground in Wiesbaden offers a platform for independently produced short films and full-length films since twenty-five years and delights the spectators with individuality, courage and exceptionalism year by year. The three locations Caligari Filmbühne, the Murnau Filmtheater and the Kulturpalast become a meeting place of international film makers and film-enthusiastic visitors. In the class of Gregor Ade in winter 2015 to spring 2016, we worked on a fictional corporate redesign on the festival. The passion and fascination of the Independent Festival are expressed through a thrilling and bold design. As the result of the class, we designed a brandbook that contained not only our final corporate design, but also our research, the brand values, the brand positioning and the design process.
